Job description

As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a laser cutting machine to produce high-quality metal parts or components according to specifications. In this role, you will be involved in setting up the machine, selecting the accurate program, and monitoring the process to ensure that the safety standards and specifications of the product are met. Location: 141 Consolidated Drive, Cambridge, ON Dedicated Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday Job Duties: - Set up and prepare the laser cutting machine for production runs, including loading materials, and selecting the correct program - Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime - Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring tools and equipment - Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to identify and address any defects or discrepancies to production quality - Follow safety protocols and wear prescribed personal protective (PPE) equipment to prevent injuries - Utilize hand, power, and pneumatic tools to complete run - Perform routine maintenance tasks on the laser cutting machine, and troubleshoot technical issues to prevent...
