Department: 13281 Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Rev Cycle Strategic Support Team: Southeast Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hou rs Per Week: 0 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Variable Pay Range: $22.00 - $22.00 Job Summary: Fills critical short term vacancies in designated areas. Registers and interviews patients, completes pre-admissions, and ensures information accuracy. Handles routine patient inquiries and issues. Works closely with other areas including departments and physician offices. Greets patients and processes them through to the appropriate area. Essential Functions: - Registers or Pre-registers all scheduled patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services. - Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorization for all services that requires authorization, pre-certification, and/or referral. - Coordinates with patients and scheduling departments to reschedule procedures until authorization or patient payment can be arranged. Requests upfront payment of deposits from responsible party. - Updates schedule for cancellations, rescheduling, and other changes on an ongoing basis.
