Fortuna is seeking an experienced IBM MQ z/OS Systems Consultant to support a California state government client. This consultant will assist with the installation, configuration, optimization, and operational support of IBM MQ on z/OS mainframe environments. The role requires deep expertise in messaging middleware, mainframe infrastructure, and system performance monitoring. The consultant will collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot MQ incidents, optimize system performance, and ensure the stability and reliability of the enterprise messaging environment. US Citizenship or Green Card required. California residence is required. WORKSITE: Hybrid, must be located within driving distance of Sacramento, San Jose, Rancho Cordova, or Vacaville . WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday–Friday during standard Pacific Time business hours.
