Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other wastewater treatment are operational at all times. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintains and operates hazardous waste disposal injection well and assigned equipment. - Reports equipment malfunctions promptly. - Records daily system readings and inspections of pump leachate. - Performs weed trimming and grass cutting around facility and associated systems. - Collects and processes storm water samples as needed. - Enters data into excel spreadsheets and maintains system records. - Keeps records of equipment maintenance and repairs - Receipt, handling, recovery, disposal and recycling of hazardous waste. - Keeps logs and records of waste received and shipped off-site. - Performs other related duties as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities. - Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and electrical and hydraulic support systems. - Knowledge of collection systems, including pump stations and regulator stations. - Knowledge of mechanical and electrical theory, cross connections and pumps. - Demonstrates, accu...
