Job description

Classification Title: OPS Custodian - P.K. Yonge DRS Classification Minimum Requirements: Driver's license. Level 2 DCF Background check required. Job Description: Keeps buildings at P.K. Yonge sanitized and in orderly condition. Relies predominantly on instructions and pre-established department and CDC guidelines, but some job functions may require exercising some independent judgement. Works under general supervision. Reports directly to Custodial Supervisor. Service, clean, or supply restrooms; Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; Gather and empty trash; Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors; Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment; Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; Clear debris from classrooms, walkways, sidewalks, and entrances; Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment; Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications; Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
