Description PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Fitness Equipment Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fitness equipment to ensure a safe and fully operational environment for members and staff. This position plays a critical role in preventative maintenance, equipment lifecycle management, vendor coordination, and supporting overall facility operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Equipment Maintenance & Repair - Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on cardio and strength equipment. - Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues with fitness equipment. - Repair or replace defective parts including belts, cables, motors, and consoles. - Calibrate equipment to manufacturer specifications. - Respond to equipment service requests in a timely manner. - Preventative Maintenance - Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all fitness equipment. - Lubricate, adjust, and test machines to ensure proper operation. - Maintain accurate mainten...
