Description The Formal Gardener Level ll position works in the Department of Building and Grounds under the supervision of the Horticulture Manager to support the care and maintenance of all plant related needs on campus as well as other tasks related to the care of maintenance of the physical plant. This is a full-time, union position. Shift is 7:00am- 3:30pm. Job Duties: - The care and maintenance of all plant material located at Blithewood Estate and Montgomery Place campus, including: planting, transplanting, fertilization, watering, weeding, pruning in ornamental beds, greenhouse work, and natural areas, snow removal, tree work, litter pick up, cleaning of campus paths, patios, and assistance to other departments when needed - May perform related assignments under the direction of the Horticulture Manager, Formal Gardener Level l and Horticulture Level l. - Perform all specific duties in a diligent and professional manner - Operate and make proper use of required mechanical equipment - Operate vehicles for transport of materials and equipment - Assist other trades in the completion of specific assignments - Report specific deficiencies and unsafe conditions in campus systems,...
