Join us, and let’s improve lives together. **This position can be performed remotely for candidates who reside in the Des Moines, Iowa metro area** Essential Functions: Under close supervision, assists in analyzing and underwriting contract and commercial surety accounts which includes analysis of financial statements, work in progress reports, and overall credit worthiness. Shadows experienced underwriters to gain an understanding of the necessary information required to make decisions on approving or declining a bond request. Reviews and learns the proper documentation required to keep account files current. Uses and gains an understanding of the various bond forms and terminology. Works within various computer applications to properly research and underwrite a bond. Researches the bond manual and other sources to further develop knowledge on EMC bond underwriting processes.
