Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: PATHOLOGY SUPERVISOR Boise Regional Medical Center SUMMARY: Manages, coordinates, and supervises the pathology department. Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the performance of the technical and support section staff in the assigned unit. Ensure patient samples are appropriately prepared for review and diagnostic evaluation by the Pathologists. Ensures that the Section runs smoothly, that turnaround time meets or exceeds established guidelines, and that all quality and safety requirements are consistently met. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required. Certified in designated specialties of one of the following Pathology Assistant (must maintain membership in the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants), Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist, or Medical Technologist required. Minimum of six (6) years in a clinical laboratory and pathology in a hospital setting required. 2 years of supervisory experience required.
