Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is accountable for developing and maintaining programs and policies in the areas of Employee Safety, Accident & Incident Prevention, Safe Work Practices, Safety Training, OSHA Compliance, Workers Compensation, Field Safety Audits, Emergency Response, Employee Wellness, Risk Management, Fire Protection, Pollution Prevention, and Safety Policies & Procedures at Orion Marine Group. The incumbent is responsible for providing safety management oversight for marine construction operations in all geographic in which the Company has marine dredging operations. This position requires over 75% travel within Washington State, Oregon, and Alaska. The incumbent must have the ability and flexibility to work on varying shifts, long hours (8-12 hours), and weekends hours according to project needs. The incumbent must also work in different weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) and office settings.
