Transmission Line Engineer

Job description

The Transmission Line Engineer / PLS CADD Subject Matter Expert is responsible for managing and executing the design portion of transmission line engineering projects. The ideal candidate would be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and be a proactive and self-motivated employee who is able to think critically and learn concepts quickly. Responsibilities: - Generate transmission line deliverables including route alignment drawings, sag charts, stringing charts, loading diagrams, foundation drawings - Interface with internal and external teams to resolve technical challenges - Provide mentorship and training to less experienced engineers in PLS-CADD and transmission line design - Drive the design aspects of a transmission line project and identify technical challenges. - Understand client specifications and design requirements and communicate those to others. - Keep up with software and technology trends relating to transmission line design and look for ways to continuously improve the workflow. - Occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel ob...
