Title: Maintenance Mechanic Department: Campus Operations – Maintenance Employment Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Maintenance Foreman Job Purpose To perform basic skilled and semi-skilled work in the repair and maintenance of Wagner College buildings and all campus-related facilities. Duties/Responsibilities Essential Functions: - Perform general construction, maintenance, and repair work requiring knowledge in multiple trades, including general maintenance, carpentry, painting, and masonry. - Perform a variety of tasks involving electrical, plumbing, roof repair, painting, carpentry, and flooring in campus buildings and facilities. - Use and maintain common hand tools and power tools of the trade. - Frequently lift and move heavy or large objects. - Construct, install, and repair building supports, fixtures, and accessories. Non-Essential Functions: - Communicate with the Foreman and Assistant Foreman regarding materials and tools needed to complete work orders. - Sign off on completed work orders using the online work order system via mobile device, tablet, or computer.
