JOB CATEGORY: DENTAL CARE / HYGIENE / HEALTH CARE: POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of a qualified Dentist, assesses patient needs, and plans and delivers direct dental care and associated services to clinic patients. Utilizes established dental hygiene protocol and procedures. Performs some clerical duties related to the dental program. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - Certificate or Diploma representing the successful completion of an Associates or Bachelor’s degree from a Dental Hygiene program accredited by the American Dental Association Council on Dental Accreditation. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain by date of hire and maintain current throughout employment: Must obtain within six months of hire and maintain current throughout employment: - Licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the State of New Mexico. - BLS/CPR certification.
