Job description

The Team: The Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Service forms part of the statewide Cancer and Blood Services within Hospitals South and provides specialised care coordination and support for Tasmanians undergoing blood stem cell collection and bone marrow transplantation. Working within a multidisciplinary team environment, the service collaborates closely with Haematologists, nursing staff, allied health professionals, interstate transplant centres, and external organisations including the Australasian Bone Marrow Donor Registry to deliver safe, contemporary, and patient-centred care. The team is committed to improving outcomes for patients with complex haematological, oncological, and autoimmune conditions through evidence-based practice, service innovation, education, and strong care coordination across inpatient, outpatient, and interstate services The Role: As part of a multidisciplinary Cancer Services team, the Bone Marrow Transplant CNC: - Is responsible for the provision of a nurse consultancy service for bone marrow transplant, haematology patients and their families in collaboration with Haematologists and senior Cancer Services nursing staff. - Leads and manages the develop...
