Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction, oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of safety management throughout the organization. Coordinates the Environment of Care program in accordance with Joint Commission standards in order to assure a hazard-free facility for patients, visitors and colleagues. Maintains liaison with external regulatory agencies pertaining to environmental health and safety, and develops and implements policies in compliance with standards and regulations. Manages the information collection and evaluation system in order to identify and mitigate unsafe environment of care conditions. Assists the Director of Facilities when required Manages, controls, & monitors the installation, corrective and preventive maintenance on the hospital facilities related equipment. Monitors and maintains database's related to the utilization and consumption of all utilities, responsible for the utility payment and allocation of utility bills. Responsibility for maintaining documentation related to all regulatory agencies included but not limited to the Joint Commission, city codes and state codes.
