Position Title: Occupational Therapist Division: Family and Student Support Services Reports To: Coordinator of Exceptional Student Education Services FLSA Status: Exempt: Salary Schedule: HC (Doctorate), HC1-1 (Non-Doctorate) Work Days: 190: Qualifications: - Determine the need for skilled occupational therapy intervention by evaluating students using standardized and/or non-standardized assessment tools, based on deficits affecting their ability to access their curriculum and make progress on IEP goals/objectives. - Interpret evaluation results to teachers, parents/guardians, and other authorized personnel. - Collaborate in development of Individual Educational Program (IEP) or 504 Accommodation Plan for eligible students. - Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with the IEP or 504 Accommodation Plan. - Research, recommend, obtain, and train students, staff, and parents/guardians on the use of necessary adaptive equipment and specific physical needs of the student. - Provide educational in-service/training to authorized personnel regarding classroom and school-wide intervention strategies/techniques and policies and procedures related to occupational therapy. - Deve...
