Position Overview and Responsibilities The Varshney Lab is seeking a highly motivated, independent, and team-oriented Research Technician. Our group is dedicated to systematically validating candidate disease genes uncovered through genome-wide association and exome sequencing studies by generating and analyzing zebrafish disease models. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with zebrafish and apply cutting-edge genomic technologies, including CRISPR genome editing, high-throughput mutagenesis, and large-scale phenotyping, to uncover mechanisms of human disease. Our research spans genetics, genomics, molecular biology, and developmental biology, offering a dynamic and collaborative training environment. Minimum Requirements: •Bachelor's degree in one of the biological sciences, physics, chemistry, or related area, or equivalent years of relevant lab experience. - Must be detail-oriented and work independently as well as a team player.
