Advanced Practice Provider of Clinical Practice (APP) (PA/NP/APRN)/Pediatrics/SCC-Outpatient /Instructor of Clinical Practice ( Job Number: 39326 ) Description: University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Pediatrics, Section of General Pediatrics Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider of Clinical Practice (APP) (PA/NP/APRN)/Pediatrics/SCC-Outpatient /Instructor of Clinical Practice Position #00761784 – Requisition #39326 Job Summary: The Special Care Clinic (SCC) serves as a medical home and consultative base for over 3,000 children in our region who are medically complex, in addition to their well siblings. The outpatient Advanced Practice Provider (physician assistant or nurse practitioner) of Clinical Practice will serve as a primary care provider for these patients. They will be responsible for managing their well visits, follow up visits, care coordination, chronic illness management, and treatment of minor and acute illness. As a 1.0 cFTE, the clinical expectation is 6 clinic sessions/week, with an additional 1-2 clinics/month. Each clinic session is four hours in length and this equates to 294 sessions/year.
