Job description
Traffic Control Technicians (TCTs) are responsible for setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices such as cones, barrels, barricades, signs, and arrow boards to guide traffic safely around construction sites, highways, bridges, and tunnels. They direct and monitor traffic flow, using hand signals, stop signs, or temporary barriers to prevent accidents and ensure smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians. Technicians also coordinate with construction crews to ensure that work zones are safe and that traffic control measures are effective. ___________________________________________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS: - Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. - Follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. - Knowledge of MUTCD standards and requirements. - Follow direction of Supervisor as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite. - Implement temporary work zones; utilizing warning signs, traffic cones, drums, etc. per MDOT regulatory requirements. - Loading and unloading work...
