Director Transfer Center/Bed Placement The Director is accountable for the strategic oversight and operational management of patient bed placement, regional transfer center, and patient flow across the organization. This includes responsibility for ensuring appropriate, timely, and efficient assignment of beds in alignment with clinical needs, regulatory requirements, and organizational capacity. The Director collaborates with nursing leadership, medical staff, and hospital operations to optimize throughput and reduce delays. Leads the strategic management of inbound transportation for patient transfers, optimizing modality selection, vendor partnerships, and transport logistics to support patient safety, capacity management, and efficient throughput. The Director is responsible for developing performance standards, quality indicators, and escalation protocols related to bed utilization and capacity management. Provides leadership in resolving complex placement issues, capacity constraints, and interdepartmental conflicts that may impact patient access or safety.
