Supervisor, Weekends (Dayshift)

Job description

The General Supervisor, Weekends is responsible for managing teams of multi-disciplined trades workers. The General Supervisor works together with operations, project managers and chargehands to determine weekend work, priorities and staffing requirements and oversees work assignments within VDC operations. The General Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with shipyard safety, quality, and environment standards, policies and procedures. To ensure standards are met the General Supervisor will regularly check on performance, conduct performance management tasks, including but not limited to disciplining trades employees, manage trade employee timecards, trade employee leave requests and ensure the collective agreement is applied appropriately. Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 203 East Esplanade, North Vancouver.
