Enhances public safety through the use of Evidence-Based Practices in the training and supervision of staff, with a focus on the encouragement of better outcomes for probationers and parolees. Minimum Qualifications: Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing Probation and Parole. Working knowledge of Virginia Department of Corrections Community Corrections practices, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of the criminal justice system and effective treatment modalities.
