Our Progressive Care Unit 3-4 is a 20-bed adult intermediate care unit providing a higher flexible acuity level of patient care. PCU nurses have expert assessment skills to provide constant observation and monitoring with a lower patient to nurse ratio that corresponds to patient acuity levels. A stepdown sister unit of MSICU, our specialties include complex post op surgical care, acute exacerbation of medical conditions, post rapid response care and conditions requiring frequent monitoring. Specialized training includes CORE EKG classes, Critical Care medications, ACLS, Ventilator/Respiratory class, and PD.
