City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview: Sentara Health is seeking an RN for it's Observation/Transitional Care Unit: The Obs/Transitional Care Unit is a 9-bed short stay unit used to care for med-surg patients who will be discharged within 24-48 hours. Position Status : Full-Time Day Shift Position Location: Sentara Norfolk General: Minimum Requirements: RN Licensure - Virginia Required BSN, RN-Associate's Degree OR RN-Diploma Required Two years of nursing experience Preferred Previous acute care experience Preferred: Job Description Summary: Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfer. Coordinates and communicates capacity management plan to nursing units, leadership team, and physicians. Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards of care as required by patient populations.
