Ozarks First in Springfield, Missouri, is hiring a Reporter/MMJ. This role is ideal for a journalist who is enterprising, collaborative, and passionate about telling engaging stories across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. The successful candidate must be able to write and deliver clear, conversational, and compelling stories on TV, CTV, and on our website. A strong social media presence will be required for this position. ​ Duties & Responsibilities: Enterprise original, impactful stories that resonate with the local community across all platforms – broadcast, digital, streaming, and social media. Pitch stories of interest to the entire audience, while also understanding the importance of targeting specific members of that audience Deliver live reports with confidence and clarity, especially during breaking news and developing stories. Write and produce content in a clear, concise, and engaging manner tailored to each platform. Build a network of sources to help Ozarks First stay ahead of its competitors Collaborate with producers, photographers, and newsroom staff to shape coverage and segment ideas.
