Description The Koch lab is seeking a postdoctoral scientist with expertise in population genetics and a motivated interest in human genetics. Our lab develops novel methods, theory, and analysis paradigms. We are interested in linking selectional and mutational landscapes to patterns of genetic variation associated with human traits and diseases. We do this by integrating evolutionary models with GWAS, biobank, and functional genomic resources across populations to uncover broadly useful frameworks for interpreting genetic findings in human health. Appropriate candidates will possess foundational knowledge in population genetics as well as strong quantitative and computational skills. The postdoc will lead projects where they develop and apply new methods for the analysis of human genomic data. Individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
