Load Shovel Operator Department: Operations: Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Manchester: Description: Load Shovel / Machine Operator – day shift Operational Duties: - Machinery & Plant Operation: Be proficient in operating all machinery and plant essential to the business unit, ensuring their safe and efficient use. Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have experience operating either Loading Shovel. Maintenance : Production Reporting : Accurately report daily production output and any downtime to the Operations Manager for review and action. - Conduct daily and weekly checks on machinery and plant. - Perform refuelling, lubrication, and greasing as needed to maintain operational standards. - Promptly record and report any defects or breakdowns to ensure timely resolution. Safety & Compliance: Work Environment: - Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring walkways and emergency exits are free of obstructions - Always use the appropriate safety equipment and PPE. Incident Reporting : Immediately report: - Non-conforming wastes or contamination delivered to the site - Accidents, incidents, near-misses, environmental hazards, and health & safety breac...
