Building Automation Systems Technician

Job description

Qualifications: Experience: Skills: - Program, and commission BAS systems (e.g., Distech, Honeywell, and potentially Johnson FX Controls. We service some Siemens, Schneider Electric, Trane Controls, but will usually remove and replace with Distech or Honeywell). - Troubleshoot complex control issues in HVAC, lighting, and integration systems using diagnostic tools and software. - Perform system upgrades and software updates, ensuring compatibility and minimal downtime. - Configure and calibrate field devices such as sensors, actuators, controllers, and I/O modules. - Read and interpret engineering drawings, sequences of operations, and control schematics. - Collaborate with engineers, project managers, electricians, and mechanical contractors to execute projects on time and within budget. - Maintain accurate documentation of system architecture, as-built drawings, and service records. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior BAS technicians and apprentices. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, local building codes, and cybersecurity best practices. - Participate in on-call rotation or emergency support as needed. - 5+ years of hands-on experience with BAS insta...
