EASTERN TITLE DIVISION: Job Description: SUMMARY : Organizing and directing escrow closings for complex commercial real estate transactions in Virginia and nationwide. The position involves working collaboratively within our organization as well as with customers, including law firms, commercial lenders and commercial real estate firms. Strong candidates will have significant experience in the title industry dealing with commercial transactions from beginning to end. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepares escrow agreements and communicates internally for deposits of earnest money, investing and transfer of funds - Prepares commercial settlement statements, while reviewing purchase agreements, title commitments and closing instruction letters - Manages overall closing process - Maintains closing checklists and coordinates with parties for payoffs and items necessary to document the charges set forth on the settlement statements - Communicates with underwriting staff as to the status of closing and confirms all closing requirements are satisfied - Coordinates and closes single and multi-site transactions with ORT offices nationwide - Assembles and distributes closing packa...
