Job description

Summer Camp assistants provide hands-on assistance with material and room preparation, set-up, program facilitation, and clean-up for CMA’s Summer Creativity Camp program. Requirements and Key Competencies: Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a valid driver’s license or other official form of identification. Experience with studio art, art education, and working with the public, including school-aged children preferred. University students enrolled in studio, art history, or art education programs are encouraged to apply. The employee must also be able to communicate effectively and work successfully with others. Responsibilities: While candidates will be serving mainly Youth and Family Programs, there may be occasions that necessitate assisting with the Community Arts Programs. Summer Creativity Camps: Summer Creativity Camps at CMA are offered for children ages 5 to 12. Summer Camp Assistants in this role will be responsible for supporting lead Teaching Artists in executing studio classes including set up, clean up, and facilitation of lesson plan.
