Job Description Division/Program Summary Description: The Bureau of Children, Youth, Families, and Developmental Disabilities (CYF-DD) within the Division of Mental Hygiene is responsible for the planning, funding and oversight of much of New York City’s comprehensive network of child and adolescent community mental health services, as well as services for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. CYF-DD relies on research and surveillance to guide its decisions around policy development, service planning, implementation and evaluation and incorporates a health equity lens into its work. CYF-DD oversees a portfolio of over 100 programs and supports a family-driven, individualized and strength-based approach to care. CYF-DD’s Office of Policy and Planning supports the bureau’s mission by conducting system-level planning, working to effect policy changes, and ensuring that program models are cost-effective and responsive to need.
