Work for the #1 morning show in the market, collaborate with award-winning journalists, and make a difference in the community, come join the FOX8 morning news team. You’ll anchor the 4:30am news and then rotate with three other anchors for our five-and-a-half-hour newscast. We are serious about winning mornings, employing an army of journalists to make the shows relevant and meaningful. While you’ll play a prominent role on the desk, don’t leave your reporter skills behind, since you will have a franchise as well. Job description: - Presents news stories and other content for all platforms. - Ensures that all news content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality. - Writes and delivers news stories in a clear and concise manner. - Assists in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating news programming and other content. - Acts as a field reporter as assigned. - Conducts interviews with news personnel and others. - Responds to breaking news and other urgent newsrooms situations as required. - Participates in promotional activities including public appearances. - Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
