Overview Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is hiring for a Hazardous Materials Specialist (Designator) in Richland, WA. This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD). Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities: Under general supervision, scopes technical tasks and develops creative solutions to assigned problems of basic to high complexity. Provides characterization and program support for all radiological and non-radiological waste types (i.e., Low Level Waste, High Level Waste, Mixed Waste, Polychlorinated Biphenyls, and Transuranic Waste). Provides broad-based technical and regulatory support for ongoing HLMI waste management efforts. Provides technical support for specific projects as needed.
