GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Utilizing ionizing radiation and highly sophisticated computer assisted technology, produces and evaluates computed tomographic images and related data that are used by physicians to render medical diagnosis. Uses ethical judgment and critical thinking skills when performing duties as a CT Radiographer. Under the supervision of the CT Coordinator and in close collaboration with the Radiologists, assists with the daily technical operations of Diagnostic CT. CT Technologist stays informed of ongoing developments and issues within the department and institution by actively participating in various departmental and hospital meetings and committees. He or she performs all duties of Radiographer I as required. Maintains own clinical competency in CT and Radiography. He or she will perform other duties as deemed necessary.
