Job Summary: The Social Worker-MSW assesses clients for initial transplant suitability and re-evaluates candidates as directed. Counsels clients and facilitates group therapy. Provides assistance to patients and their families in the forms diagnostic evaluation, individual, family & group therapeutic counseling and resource referral. Refers clients to community resources to enhance compliance with a complex long term medical regimen. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Master's Degree in social work. Minimum one year experience in clinical setting required. Minimum one year of previous counseling experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Able to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment; type 30 WPM without errors. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; follow policies consistently; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction.
