Job description

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production operations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth facility operations and ensuring materials are available when needed. **This role will be a Night Shift position Key Responsibilities: Operate various types of material handling equipment, primarily forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), safely and efficiently Perform daily safety inspections of lift equipment and complete required documentation Load and unload trucks according to shipping and receiving schedules Store and retrieve pallets within the plant, documenting inventory locations using handheld electronic devices Stage materials at equipment locations according to production schedules Move and manage Work-in-Process (WIP) pallets between machine locations and rack storage Maintain organized storage areas and implement proper rack numbering systems Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate records Complete all required safety documentation, checklists, a...
