Electrical Journeyman

Job description

We are currently taking applications for Journeyman Electricians . A Journeyman Electrician works under the guidance of a Foreman or Superintendent, and may oversee and direct the work of a crew of 1 to 5 helpers or apprentices in installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on any type project. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - A Journeyman may be required to perform any of the duties and responsibilities associated with classifications E1-E5. In addition, a senior level Journeyman: - Interprets drawings and develops an overall crew work plan. - Lays out work and preps materials for installation. - Does rigging and job set ups for all tasks performed or supervised. - Performs underground layout and rough-in. - Determines wire and conduit sizing. - Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders. - Installs BUSS feeders. - Performs switchgear installation and terminations. - Installs and connects power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus in new and existing facilities follo...
