Job description
As a welder, you are responsible for cutting and joining mild or stainless, and other materials, and equipment operation for assembly of structures. Essential Functions: - Participate in all safe start meetings. - Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations - Follow 5S standards to maintain work area. - Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications - Setup and align components for welding according to specifications - Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) - Operate angle grinders and other tools necessary to prepare the surface to be welded. - Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified. - All other duties as assigned. Experience, Education, & License Requirements: - HS Diploma or equivalent preferred - Related degree from a technical college, a plus - 1 year of proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment, or internship while attending technical college Skills & Abilities: - Steady hands and attention to detail. - Ability to read and interpret drawings. - Basic weldin...
