A Day In The Life at MKS: As an Opto/Mechanical Technician at MKS, you will be responsible for the advanced assembly of optical systems for lasers, laser radars and electro-optical sensors and instruments. You Will Make an Impact By: Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers Prepare subassembly components: Follow written procedures or drawings developed by engineers and suggest improvements to optimize production Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using laboratory instruments (i.e. interferometer, Zygo, etc.) Alignment, optimization, stability, transmission, etc. Package the final assembly daily (if assembly is completed) Cross training is required (trainee and/or trainer) Skills You Bring: 0-2 years of related experience for Level 1 2-3 years of related experience for Level 2 The ability to read engineering drawings The ability to work in a clean room environment Experience entering data numbers into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets templates The ability to speak, read, and write in English Compensation and Benefits: Hourly Pay Range: $...
