Patient Care Technician - (Mon-Fri 1500-2330) Diagnostic - ( 26002670 ) Description Position Summary: The University of Iowa Health Care department of Radiology is seeking a Patient Care Technician to, under direct supervision, assists the members of the Diagnostic Radiology Department in provision of efficient and safe patient care. Assists imaging technologists with diagnostic imaging studies in Radiology, the OR and ASC. Assists with the performance of a wide variety imaging procedures by participating in patient prep, patient transport and room turnover. Assists with moving imaging equipment throughout the hospital. Position Responsibilities: · Responsible for facilitating smooth flow of patients through imaging areas by assisting imaging technologists in the performance of radiology procedures. · Provides for patient comfort measures through social interactions. · Transports patients, equipment (including Radiology imaging equipment), specimens and supplies. · Assemble equipment and supplies in preparation for various diagnostic or treatment procedures, including sterile tray set up. · Shares responsibility for preparation, proper use and care of equipment and supplies and for...
