Description Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist to join our growing and highly-regarded clinical programs. The Vanderbilt Lung Institute, an integrated patient care center, evaluates over 84,000 patients annually and is currently expanding within the Nashville Metropolitan Area. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient care while advancing the field of pulmonary medicine. Key Responsibilities: - Clinical Care: Devote at least 80% effort to delivering high-quality clinical care in both critical care and pulmonary medicine, including the education of trainees. - Academic and Clinical Tracks: Clinician Educators (CEs) dedicate 20% of their effort to academic endeavors such as education, research, and administrative service, while those in the Clinical Practice (CP) track focus entirely on clinical care. - Inpatient Duties: Provide care at Vanderbilt University Hospital, covering the MICU, Pulmonary Consult Service, or the inpatient Pulmonary Service.
