Application Analyst II Job Summary: This Application Analyst II will support the Field technology platform, specifically applications in the Gas Scheduler Technology portfolio, for Southern Company Gas (GAS) used by GAS Distribution Operations for our state regulated Local Distribution Companies (LDC). This role will have primary responsibility for assessing systems and issues and making suggestions to meet business needs. This position reports to the Supervisor, IT (Gas Scheduler Technology). Application Analyst, II – Essential Duties Include - Work with Business Systems Analysts, TPAs, BOTS and business partners to refine the high-level requirements and changes being requested. - Facilitate and drive the creation of Functional Design documents. Ensure initial requirements are reviewed and enhanced into a full functional requirement. - Develop solutions that consider and leverage base product (when COTS system) rather than customization. - Drive the creation of the Technical Design documents.
