Shape how students experience psychology at a learning-centered, student success–focused community college. As an Assistant Professor of Psychology , the primary responsibility is delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences that make course content accessible, relevant, and applicable to students’ lives. This role teaches courses such as introductory psychology, research methods, development, personality, and mental health, with an emphasis on helping students build confidence in research methods and quantitative reasoning. Faculty facilitate the learning process through engaged instruction, supporting diverse learners and connecting concepts to real-world application. Responsibilities include designing meaningful assignments and assessments, evaluating student learning outcomes, and using data to inform instruction and support continuous improvement. Instruction may be delivered in a variety of formats, including in-person and online environments. Beyond the classroom, this position advises students, contributes to curriculum development, participates in college service, and collaborates with colleagues to advance a culture of teaching excellence.
