Job description
When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. Responsible for unit dose distribution including familiarity with medications, dosage forms and storage requirements. May also compound sterile and non-sterile medication preparations. Communicates with pharmacists and nursing staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of medications. Delivers medications, including controlled substances, to nursing areas and ancillary departments in accordance with established policies and procedures, and DEA and DPH regulations. Serves as a subject matter expert in an area of inpatient pharmacy technician practice. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: Restocks automated dispensing machines (ADSs) and floor stock medications. Follows relevant Epic workflows including but not limited to loading medications, dispensing doses, dispense tracking, and fulfilling carts fill items. Delivers all medication in compliance with all DEA, DPH & State Board of Pharmacy regulations Prepares and delivers IV medications in accordance with Federal USP 797 & USP 800 standards.
