Job DetailsJob Location: La Porte, TX 77571EHS Specialist Location: Houston - La Porte, TX, & Crosby, TX Plants Reports To: EHS Manager: POSITION SUMMARY: The Environmental Specialist will report directly to the EHS Manager and be accountable for overseeing the site Environmental/Safety programs and procedures to ensure site compliance with necessary regulations. This includes but not limited to permit reviews and reporting, , industrial hygiene, OSHA safety regulations and PSM. The Environmental Specialist will work closely with the rest of the leadership team in the implementation of other site objectives as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support to plant personnel to ensure regulatory compliance with safety, transportation and environmental regulations (federal, state and local) Monthly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting to regulatory bodies (e.g., DMRs, TSCA, SARA 311/312/313, NPDES, Title V, RCRA, RMP and other site-required programs), as well as close cooperation with such bodies with timely responses on permits, audits, and inquiries Coordinate air compliance testing activities, including stack testing and RATA testing for boilers Ensure conformity with Responsible Care Ma...
