New Increased Pay Rates Certified Surgical Tech First Assist: Full-time Days (3) 12-hr shifts per week plus call rotation. Job Summary: Provides direct support to surgeons during surgical procedures. Facilitates operative or other invasive procedures by preparing and providing required sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team. Assists by positioning and prepping patients prior to surgery, ensuring clear visibility for the surgeon by using instruments such as retractors and sponges, controlling bleeding, closing surgery sites using sutures or staples and properly dressing wounds. They also collaborate with doctors and other surgical team members to ensure proper post-operative care of patients.
