Job description
In collaboration with physicians, hospital staff, and leaders, the Infection Prevention Manager assumes responsibility for developing and assessing the organization-wide infection prevention program. In addition, uses an epidemiological approach to managing infection prevention through surveillance, data collection, analysis and trend identification. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Experience: - Registered Nurse with current Colorado nursing license - BSN by an accredited school of nursing - Preferred: National Certification in Infection Prevention (CBIC Certification) or must obtain within 1 year of hire. - Documentation of on-going continuing education activities specific to Infection Prevention - Experience in hospital nursing and adult education - Strong knowledge and experience with continuous quality improvement - Strong computer skills required (word processing, spreadsheet, database), and familiarity with Meditech Working Conditions: - Subject to many interruptions and irregular hours - Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries - May be exposed to infectious disease - Requires judgment/action that may result in injury to an employee or patient SALARY RANGE: - $37....
