CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS: Under general supervision is responsible for work of above average physical and emotional difficulty in the planning and providing of instruction, guidance, counseling, supervision to clients/students with a wide variety of behavior, learning and emotional problems. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist with classroom control. 2. Administers assessment testing. 3. Provides classroom coverage in the absence of classroom teacher. 4. Assist special education teachers with progress monitoring. 5. Assist special education teacher with individual student learning or lessons. 6. Assist teachers (copying, making booklets, filing, etc.). 7. Maintain proper norms and security of youth and provide crisis intervention as necessary. 8. Responsible for contributing to a positive and productive work environment. 9. All other duties as assigned. 10. Adheres to Sequel policy and practice concerning creation, editing, transmission, storage, and disposition of all Protected Health Information in compliance with HIPAA.
