BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Provides genetic counseling services in accordance with professional standards of the NSGC and ABMG to individuals and families at risk for hereditary disorders. REPORTS TO: - Genetics Program Coordinator JOB REQUIREMENTS: Supervisory Responsibilities: No: Minimum Education: Masters Degree required. Degree: Degree in Genetic Counseling: License/Certification Required: Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics or completion within 18 months. Minimum Work Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field. - Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. - Strong decision making and communication skills.
