Description The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University invites applications to fill a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Lecturer with an anticipated start date of Fall 2023 or earlier. Candidates with extensive practice and expertise in mechanical engineering may be considered for the rank of Professor of Practice. The position will be appointed with a one-year contract, renewable annually, and with the promotion to Senior Lecturer after 5 years of excellent performance. Primary duties include teaching up to four courses, or equivalent, per semester and actively contributing to the undergraduate teaching mission of the department. In addition, part-time positions may be available. The Department currently has 31 tenure-track/tenured faculty and 8 full-time non-tenure-track faculty. The Department is housed in modern research and education facilities with an enrollment of approximately 900 undergraduate and 200 graduate students.
